Student Loan Debt

While reading a news article about families who were getting out of debt, one item kept coming to light. Almost all these people had student loan debt! This was bogging them down as they were trying to save money. Instead they had to throw their hard earned money at the student loan debt. If they had not taken student loan debt in the first place, then they would never be in this situation now. I am writing this to warn you now - Don't take student loan debt. Take a semester off and work and earn money and then continue school. Or if you do take student loan debt - BE very careful! Know exactly what you owe and don't let it pile up!!

Where to Start?

Over the last couple of months that this blog has been open there has been a flurry of posts and links to scholarships that are available to upcoming College students. Well the Fall semester is almost upon us and for the most part it's probably too late to get a scholarship for the beginning of the school year, but don't despair! You still have time to find one for the Spring or even mid-year (possibly).

All it takes is a little research on your part, some hard work and dedication and lastly patience. The scholarships are out there but no one is going to give you money for free. You have to work for it and be diligent in your pursuit of those scholarships.

Look back at some of our archived posts and see if there are any techniques or helpful strategies that you might have missed and keep pursuing those scholarships!

After all, wouldn't it be great to look back at college and know that you graduated debt-free?
