How many college scholarships should you apply for? 8,000! ... OK, maybe not that many. But the more you apply for, the more chance you have of receiving one. Some statistics show that students receive one scholarship for every ten applied for. That figure might be a little optimistic. In the real world, it's probably closer to one in every twenty. That may sound discouraging, but don't lose hope. With determination, good organization, and plenty of time you can find and apply for the right scholarships. It just takes stepping up to the plate and getting to work. No matter how many strike outs you get, one home run will make up for it.
